[Unlock Bootloader] Xiaomi 17 Series — Security Patch 2026-05-01

I found a working one-click bootloader unlock solution for the Xiaomi 17 series running the 2026-05-01 Android security patch.

Requirements​

You only need:

• Xiaomi/Qualcomm USB drivers installed
• ADB properly installed and working
• USB Debugging enabled
• OEM Unlocking enabled in Developer Options

Extract the ZIP file, right-click:

8e5-unlock-en-1.bat

and select Run as administrator.

That is all. It works as a one-click solution, similar to the previous unlock tools.

Windows Defender or another antivirus may detect the file as a Trojan. This is likely because the BAT uses privilege-escalation and injection methods to replace the EFI and ABL images, bypassing the bootloader security restrictions implemented by Xiaomi.

I personally tested the tool and it successfully unlocked the bootloader.

As always, use it at your own risk and make a backup of your important data before starting.

The final version of this tool was v114514, which is the version I shared in the main post of this thread.

However, this latest - and final - version appears to have an issue when attempting to unlock the bootloader of the standard Xiaomi 17. The process ends with an error and the bootloader remains locked.

The error appears to be harmless, as the phone simply reboots back into the system after the failed attempt.

I therefore used the previous version, v2.0.0, to unlock the Xiaomi 17:

To summarise, the latest version, v114514, successfully unlocked my Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, while v2.0.0 successfully unlocked my wife’s Xiaomi 17.

Yes, that's not the same as the one you uploaded on mediafire.
Some files are missing in the one from github.
Please clarify so people don't have a problem or worse brick their device.

The one from GitHub is the original made from the creator / developer of this tool.

The one I shared with the mediafire link is one that someone else uploaded on Youtube

Correct. I had the 315 chinese official ROM, and after unlocking, using 317 Xiaomi.eu

I translated the Script to english and Portuguese. All files included inside FactoryABL. Please When stract the files do not make sub folders, keep in D:\Mi8e5-unlock-V14 or something like this.

I Susscefully unlocked my CHinese 17 Ultra Leica bootloader.

i edited one script only for temporal root if u want keep your bootloader closed and want edit something in your data folder.

Use with caution. PS: ur system crashes after stopping using temporal root and u need force restart.

I don't know. To be honest, didn't tried on 318.

You can try tho. The worst that can happen is fail, and it will automatically boot back into the original ROM.

No, it doesn't work. In the end, I unlocked it using the official unlock script—on the first try.

hm i just wanted to unlock the PocoF9 ultra but in the scipt says it does not work only
1. Xiaomi 17
2. Xiaomi 17 Pro
3. Xiaomi 17 Ultra
4. Xiaomi 17 Pro Max
5. Redmi K90 Pro Max

i had in in februar with the poco F8 ultra. Is theres a new version which work with the new phone?
