bootloader unlock for 12S Ultra

Hi
I'm trying to unlock the bootloader on my 12S Ultra.
I'm currently stuck with verifying my account with miflash_unlock-en-6.5.224.28
The problem (which seems to be a common one) is that the app requires my phone number to be verified with an SMS which never arrives.
Is there another way to do this? and given that bought it from a Chinese seller will I be able to unlock the bootloader anyway?

I just realised that Settings / My device / MIUI version it says
MIUI by xiaomi.eu 14.0.15.0.TLACNXM stable
So the seller of the phone already reflashed it to xiaomi.eu ROM instead of the Chinese ROM ?
Is it possible that the boot loader is already unlocked ?
