What will happen if I use a 5V/2000mA adapter in place of the original 5V/1000mA adapter?

Hi,
I bought Mi2 last week, and Its "eat" many power, I play games on it every day and have to charge it at less twice a day. It take ~2 hours to charge. Can someone please let me know whether it is possible to use a 5V/2000mA adapter in place of the original 5V/1000mA adapter, to speed up charging? I think 2000mA > 1000mA so It will take ~1hours to charge.
I take the 5V/2000mA adapter from Raspberry Pi, It have a same miniUSB port like Mi2.

It doesn't work like that. The charger can deliver 2A, but that doesn't mean the phone will 'require' or 'pull' 2A. Just try the 2A charger and see whether it makes a difference

Phone will take only what he need...
Same as your PC when you have 1000W(A.V) power supply it doesn't mean his consumption is 1000W....

The charging unit within the phone will only utilize up to 1000mA like most other phones.

I've tried to use my iPad2 charger and I have no difference in time of charging until now. So ingbrzy, Thomas Brasser and ubelai
was absolutely right about it.
