Weird Contact Behaviour

Hello guys, I've been having this weird behaviour with my contacts which has been here since I've started using MIUI but never bothered to find solution for this until now...

So here is the situation, I usually saved contact number that I've obtained without putting any country code in the front.
e.g: 0161234567
However, it will not be recognized in call history or SMS if I didn't manually add the country code to the contact number.
e.g: +60163534108

The truth is, the system is actually able to recognize but it won't show unless I view the profile of the number as shown below:

As can be seen, the system is unable to display the name of the contact

However, I can actually view the name of the contact if I click the profile...​

Anyone know anything that I can do to solve this problem?
I've been trying to look around the setting and enabling the option to automatically add country code but still no luck... Manually adding country code to every contact is not an ideal solution for me...

How about the dialing assistant in the settings of your contacts-app?

I've already ticked "Use My Location", manually set default contacts country code + auto-add the country code but even then nothing work in my case.
