Strange Gmail Downloads App Bug

Hi guys, I am running the official firmware. I have installed play services using the app from miapps. Every time I get a Gmail with an attachment the xiaomi downloads app tries to download the attachment to the device. Any way to stop it? Clearing it doesn't work.
