Problem with GPS locating

I use the Mi2 inside a building and press locate in google maps.
It says that it cannot get my location.
When I did the same with my iPhone 4, I would get my location very fast.
Does this mean that the Mi2 phone have a weaker GPS location system?

If you're in a building the GPS is unusable. Don't know how exactly the location works but I suppose in-building location is based on GSM (triangle) or wifi signal.

Which ROM are you using ? on origional miui ROM google network location service is not working/dont have, only GPS location works. Miuiandroid forum ROM have google network location service included in the ROM along with Gapps and it can find location using WIFI and mobile network. inside the building GPS can't work.

ok, made it work, just enabled google location services in the settings!
