The Redmi 1s MSM 8228 is a lie.

Redmi 1s has a MSM 8226, CPU-Z never lies (yes im a fan boy and i did my research)

Here you will found solution to your Heating problem too, its a MSM 8226 overclocked to 1.6GHz (stock 1.2GHz)
i was keeping my phone screen on for a half hour, my mobile didn't heated up it was 32C, I started Firefox, Nova3, SoundCloud, Stock Music app, Clash of clans and it started heating up on all of the apps.

you cant hear music on background while using an application, Why? because even if you lock down the music player from task manager it still gets off try it.

And i prove you that its a 1.6GHz OCed MSM 8226 Because MSM 8228 has open CL support and Open ES 3.0, Download the
OpenCL Device Test & OpenCL™ Info
In both app you will found its not supported and in OpenCL info you will found its MSM 8226.

i've downclocked my phone to 1.2Ghz and i dont feel the heat anymore also i've changed to a Android AOSP rom and have 550MB ram always free.

Downclock your phones Snap MSM 8226 is still a good deal the price point.

It's pretty easy to call someone liar without showing any proof, only your word. I on the other hand did present evidence...

This is some serious accusation. That is, if Xiaomi is not actually using MSM8228 processors, but overclocked MSM8226... Any screenshots to support the claim of either side?
 
I have the same problem. My Xiaomi Redmi 1s has also a MSM8226 type processor.
So basicly it is an overclocked 1.2 ???

These wrong indications from various apps has everyone of us. Only Antutu system information is showing the right processor. Why don't you trust the foto?:rolleyes:

Where did you find the AOSP rom for 1S? I have looked everywhere and I haven't found any good ROM other than MIUI.

Thanks. I hadn't looked for a while but I can see that there are plenty of ROMs for the 1s. But now I have another issue. Every ROM I install does not work after restart. I have tried all the available recoveries. Any help is appreciated.
