The brightness slider on the old notification center is not working properly. Also the rom feels laggy.

Old notification center is obsolete and may not have been adapted properly for HyperOS or Android 14. This is an official issue and doesn't concern us.
As for laggy... it's the first Weekly, it's not meant to be stable.
