Google Screen Search , It Not Working

scuse me , can any one help me i using the rom 6.11.10 ,, and the google search is not working, i have asignated the home button,
an i have the latest version of google play but when i hold press the home button . it dont works .

i cant activate them....

To activate Google Search you have to set the Google app as "Assist app".
To do this, go to settings, Installed Apps. Tap on the "Defaults" icons on the bottom. Go to "Assist & voice input" and choose "Google App" as your Assist app. It will work then.
