Gmail Autosync Issue

I've turned off MIUI optimizations from the developer options menu but Gmail still doesn't autosync in the background. My other notifications seem to be working fine now after miui optimizations was turned off.

Anyone can provide some advice on resolving this issue.

I have the same issue. It was ok but after you reboot your device, all sync stop working. Clear caches didn't help. So I try not to reboot until this Friday.
Thinking of installing Google backup transport again.
