Resolved dev question: old MIUI mail APK in new rom releases

I got mi mix 2s and everything is running fine except one general thing:

till 12.7 release you inserted miui mail 20181031_b6.apk and evrything is running fine.
Since 12.13 release you inserted miui mail 20180831_b8.apk and I got problems with html mails. I can't read them because everything is messed up.

So I always have to install miui mail 20181031_b6.apk manually after upgrade to new version. Then, everything is fine.

Can you please explain why you put this old apk in the new rom releases?

Because the new APK doesn't have a home screen widget.

This is the answer that I was searching for! but the miss of the widget is a final choice of Xiaomi or is a temporal problem?

On the last stable MIUI on Mi8 system don't let me install the 20181031_b6.apk

I miss the widget so much!

Edit: I confirm that the new version, the MIUI_V10_EMAIL_20190104_b5 released on 16.1.19 has finally the widget!!!

Yep, the widget is officially back in MIUI_V10_EMAIL_20190104_b5.
