Cannot Add Second Google Account

Since I bought my mi5, I am having trouble setting up a second Google account on 8.5.2.0 and 8.5.3.0

When I go to add accounts and select Google, it jumps to the password prompt without letting me enter the account name first.

I have not read any decent solution yet. I do not want to install the Gmail app as I only want to use the Mi calendar function.

You Can add account from play storie too, or another Google app that use Google account. Ti use mi calendar function it's not necessary Google account, but you Need mi account.

Thanks, but I tried already and every time it asks to provide the password first. It seems like it goes to the same page as through settings.... so it is the same issue

Same problem here. It did not make any difference when someone else on earth could do it.
