New Built in rom updater

Is anyone else having problems with the built in updater. It seems like half of the time the update just doesn't work. I understand that you need to wait slightly longer for the update to work however its been over a full day since the latest beta came out on xiaomi.eu and I am still having issues downloading it through the updater. Yet I have no problems downloading it directly via the mirrors that xiaomi.eu uses such as AFH. This has been a persistent issue for me, I have used xiaomi.eu roms over the past 2 years and this issue keeps happening.

Updater app can only use SourceForge mirrors and it's known that SourceForge has more issues than AndroidFileHost.
I always manually download from AFH, using 1DM app.
