American Noob with Mi 9: Any advice or suggestions?

I may come off as a total moron. Is there a way to tell what version of Mi 9 this is? Being brand new to the world of bootloading, I just need some pointers pls.

Settings > My Device > Certifications

if it has a CE there in the screen it is a Global version, if the logo is a CCC then it is a Chinese model.
