lavender is Android 10, it uses the old-school System UI from December 2019. They only updated System UI for Android 11.
mi10 ultra. have updated no problems for months. now in twrp and wont accept my password. saying password failed and wont decript. any help apreciated. i do have a backup worst case

Try to put your password 2 or 3 times.
Try to use a pattern instead of a password/pin for unlocking your screen.
You updated to this version from what ROM version?

I have lived for some time now without being able to adjust notification volume but i just ran into a situation in which i would like to change the volume on my notification. Is it still not possible? And is it tied to the ringtone volume? Or can you even adjust it anymore?(tried adjusting the ringtone volume and didn't notice any difference in the notification volume)

I can't help you about EDL flashing because it requires an authorized Mi account (with a EDL flashing permission) and I never used EDL mode...
You may want to try and flash the fastboot rom using fastboot and not miflash.
While in edl mode.
I had a similar issue on a Mi6 and solved it using mi flash.
Make sure your USB ports are supported by the fastboot, (USB 3.1 doesn't work always, need a hub or USB 2.x ports)

Are you talking about the fastboot menu on the phone? If so, I can't access it, the screen stays off ;(

You need someone with service account to help you remotely for money or find no auth firehose programmer for your platform and replace it in fastboot rom

The picture in picture window function is slow, it makes the smartphone slow and the animations freeze from time to time. Tested on Youtube Vanced and Netflix. With video calling on WhatsApp this does not happen.

In my opinion, the penultimate seems to me completely OK ...
But I don't understand how it is possible that the latest (possible) version has so many (new) problems, which will presumably not be solved ...
Or, with this a completely 'clean' installation is essential ... !!
