I was thinking, regarding the storage access issues - are there any root based solutions? Something with magisk perhaps? Remapping storage folders or something?

I clicked on the link you gave and the top review dated November 23 said, "...Developer update on 11/22 does not work on my android 12 phone. ..." So it does not look like a .eu, or Xiaomi issue.Torque application not working since Mi11 update to A12.

This has been done more than once. The situation has not changed - the battery is drain from google service's.
Maybe need to make new install - fastboot_first_install_with_data_format? Will it help? I do not want to reinstall everything when I do not know the result((((

It depends upon your phone - any changes in Android or Miui versions. It would be advisable to update to any ROM just prior to any version changes.
And, of course, it would be important to consider a full backup, should you need to revert to the previous version, and update to an intermediate ROM, ie. a smaller gap between updates.

If you can find a suitable nandroid backup, rather than re-installing, you could try a Factory reset. If it does not work, you can then restore.

(so as not to disturb from work)Hi i have Mi 11 lite 5G, after unlock the bootloader i flash clean the 21.11.17,after instaling the ROM i made wipe data in recovery. It was vorking perfect, no battery drain,no lags.Esterday I made dirti flash to 21.11.25 and also is great , no problems at all! No lags,no battery drain, All aps was clean instaled , no bacups!!
Dirty flashed from previous week's Mi11 build and all seemed well until I got to my car and turned on my Android Auto. Multi split screen layout was botched (weird screen vertical ratios) to the point that the main screen was unusable. Tried other android phones with same Android Auto version but it worked fine for them
Anyway I just flashed back the previous week build and it's all good now

you can use XiaomiADBFastbootTools to remove all unnacessary service from google, is easy and user friendly , see if problem battery drain still presist and start working from there..

I think you are right. Then look for what's wrong with other services.if he will use this tool, I think then he will have other problems
