I am using Redmi Note 12 turbo, with bootloader unlocked, and previously using EU rom. Recently, I flashed the phone with the china ROM (miui version: OS3.0.1.0.VMRCNXM, fastboot stable) as some banking apps cannot be used on EU rom. Afterwards, the banking app works, but google wallet doesnt (may be caused by the unlocked bootloader) .

To prevent future issue, I plan to re-lock the bootloader using the "fastboot oem lock" command. I have 2 related questions:

1) How do I make sure that my phone will not be bricked?
2) Will this reset and erase the data on my phone?

Thanks for your attention!

1,
You can only lock the bootloader in the following cases:
- CN devices with CN ROM
- Global devices with any Global ROM derivative (MI, EEA, RU, TU, TW, ID, IN, etc.)

- Product Authentication: https://www.mi.com/global/verify#/en/tab/secur

2,
Locking the bootloader will wipe all user data.
I think the phone is a CN device with CN ROM, but i just want to ensure it is 100% correct before proceeding to bootloader re-lock process.

I just realized that my phone is flashed with hyperos instead of miui, will it affect the booloader unlocking process?
