I upgraded from 12.2.2 to 12.2.7. (Umi). So I write my experiences.

1. 12.2.7 is more smoother than 12.2.2
2. 12.2.7 have few Uİ redesign (Example: Display and Dark Mode settings)
3. Lags are gone completely (for now)
4. Horizantally Recent Screen (is best)
5. New Fingerprint animation

But bugs not solved.

1.Changed font not apply other apps
2. Font weight dont work.
3. Select Text is not working.

For now, i saw this bugs.

dual apps work or not ??
copy paste from any app to system apps(note , browser,,,) work or not ??

Thanks for sharing.. i will flash it tomorrow.. currently on 12.2.2 indian global beta

How installed? After restarting to recovery, my mi 10 only starts in fastboot and can no longer enter the system or recovery

Flash stock rom via MiFlash.
Flash latest Recovery.
Flash Rom.
Dont boot to Recovery from Fastboot or System.
Boot to Recovery from PC via fastboot command.
Flash Magisk 21.1
Done!
If you want TWRP decrypt data, delete lock screen before enter recovery

But from 12.2.2.0 I need to do a "flash stock ROM via MiFlash" or I can already go to flash TWRP via fastboot command?

I'm on 12.2.2, can i update it to 12.2.7 without loose data

How to update it without loose data

quick switch to last used app works now
 
So I got the same issue after trying to install 12.2.7 on my Mi10: Device just started into fastboot.

Here is my solution (device was already in fastboot because of the issue):
  • Download new TWRP version (Download) on PC
  • unzip it
  • open cmd prompt
  • open the unzipped folder
  • type in
    Code: 
    fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
  • type in
    Code: 
    fastboot boot recovery.img
To set the language:
  • third icon from above in the right row
  • 4 tabs, the last one on the right is language tab
Now you can flash the update zip via TWRP if you didn´t set a lockscreen. If you had, just reboot to system. Because of the new TWRP it is working again.
You have two options:
  1. Install the update via the updater app
  2. delete lockscreen - start in recovery - install update

how long does it take to flash the recovery? bc after giving the command it stay like nothing happen for more then 5 minutes. should i try turn off and on again so it goes to fastboot again?
so after turnong off on again now i can flash recovery but i get a error when try to boot from recovery.img:
Failerd (remote: failed to laod/authenticate boot image: load error)
what just happend ._.

This TWRP is just for the Mi10! Do you have a Mi10?
 
Let me summarize even though it's been said many times.
If your phone has any build earlier than 20.10.15 (weekly) or it has a 12.2.2 stable build, your twrp (most likely 3.4.2.0623) is replaced with a new one (3.4.0), because Xiaomi has changed the kernel.
This recovery has issues that for future updates could be overcome either using OTG or by booting into "old" recovery via fastboot command. Nowadays there's also 3.4.2.1206 that should be booted to.

Thanks! Was about to install latest Miui Eu update for the Mi 10 umi 12.2.7. Bricked my device and am now in a bootloop of the fastboot. Have to start from scratch again. Some stable build it is....

I had TWRP, no root and unlocked bootloader. It completed the md5 check after download.

I have also installed the 12.2.7. Without Magisk Canary, my Mi 10 boots without problems. When I flashed Magisk, I do not get further as with the bootloader. I'm trying the Magisk 21.1 now and hope it works with that.
 
A question for devs, what if the boot.img file is deleted from the rom.zip file? What happens then?
That file contains the recovery, right?

I also have a curious bug. After booting, my Mi 10 dials into the wifi and a short time later back out again. Then it starts all over again. Has anyone had this problem?

so i sum up:
with the latest update it wont boot into recovery but getting only into fastboot. installing newest TWRP only after week XX did solve problem to get into twrp.
but it can not read internal storage anymore.
DO NOT, i repeat DO NOT try to change fileformat as it will delete everything you had on the phone. stupid internet guides sometimes... but at least it let me mount data again...
currently downlaoding full rom to comlete install it with twrp or sideload i will se what works in the end. then get everything abck from backup of google which take time but hey at least not all lost right?

Which twrp did you have before?
How did you try to enter to recovery when it went to fastboot?
Did you eventually manage to reboot the system?
Which twrp exactly did you flash?
Did you succeed flashing or you only booted it with fastboot boot twrp.img?

Please give some heads-up to other users.
