This weekend, I finally made the step and flashed my MiMax as per Doomslayer's manual.
Everything works, I like the MIUI8, everything ok so far.
I do not have an unlocked bootloader nor SU. I just wonder what to backup (System, data etc.) in TWRP in order to be able to restore the image in case, I do crash something. Beside of the above manual, I never worked with TWRP.

Sorry guys, I start understanding how things work slowly but steadily. I understand to make backup from everything with TWRP. But will install new rom via update from sd in MIUI itself in order to keep all my data. Just in case something goes wrong, I would recover the TWRP backup image that I create...
