Hello,
I recently bought a Xiaomi Universal IR Controller (as I lost my tv remote, and it is more convenient). But it fails to connect. I tried the Mi Home app, but I get's stuck when trying to connect the controller to wifi or something.
In the process I noticed that the app connects to a server (xiaomi servers i assume). Is there a way to use the remote without sending all my data to china? I just want to use it in my local wifi without sending xiaomi what i'm doing in my home and also needing it to work, when my provider has connection issues.
