Select best photo feature doesn't work.

Hi, I have minor problem with a gallery app. Select best photo feature doesn't work. It doesn't mark similar photos with a best photo badge, when I hold a finger on a photo. Its overwhelming as I tried everything except factory format and such solutions. I hope that there is somebody with exact same problem and could help me out other than a factory reset. I have 157gb of photos (9400), and over 700gb of other data so backup and restore would be painful process. I've seen other threads with same problem too, but sadly without any solution, AI doesn't resolve it too. I already tried: deleting cache and data for Gallery app, HyperAi app, com.android.providers.media app, disable/enable select best photo setting in a Gallery but
without any luck. My phone is Xiaomi 17 ultra (nezha). I'm running latest xiaomi.eu rom 3.0.309.0 stable. Any point to a right direction or a cause of this problem would be greatly appreciated as I'm out of ideas. Thanks

Why not just directly contact Xiaomi's official customer service and ask?
