Redmi Note 10 Pro stuck on white screen with spinning blue circle after MiUI13 update

I have had a Redmi Note 10 Pro for 3 years, which I have been SUPER happy with so far, it has really been the perfect phone for me! Over the last 3 years I have avoided making updates (both security and MiUI) because I was afraid that the updates would block the functionality of certain apps or the system as a whole; well, today that is exactly what happened.

I work as a driver, delivery person and transporter. I was heading to a customer's address to deliver their order, when suddenly the phone turned off, suddenly, without any prior notification. I waited for the operating system to restart, and it took a relatively long time, about 5-6 minutes. Finally, the Mi logo disappeared and an icon with the text MiUI 13 appeared on the screen, a package that I did not have installed (I guess I was running MiUI 12). I had a single button to move forward with the process, and I was asked for data related to the language I want to use, text size, region I am in, and a WiFi network to connect to. After going through these steps, the screen remains stuck apparently in an ENDLESS update or initialization process. It is simply stuck in an infinite loop, the screen is white and the only thing displayed on the screen is a blue circle that keeps spinning. I can hit "Back" to go back to the previous steps, but nothing helps - not even changing the language, region, or WiFi network. IT HAS BEEN IN THIS PHASE FOR OVER 3 HOURS ALREADY!

By searching with various keywords, I've found another topic of someone having the EXACT SAME ISSUE as me right now: xiaomi.eu/community/threads/phone-stuck-after-wifi-connection-after-miui-14-update.74612/

PLEASE HELP! I have too much info (data & apps) to afford to do a factory reset which involves a memory wipe. That is simply not an option for me, but other than that, I'm willing to try anything.
