Network locked or something similar?

Bought my A2 from AliExpress but the phone detects the SIM card but doesn't let me make calls or use data. I've tried everything but nothing works notice the X bottom right hand side of signal strength it's weird Amy help greatly appreciated.

Hi Gipsey,

I'm 'happy' to read that there is someone who also got this problem. Since the update to Android Pie my network is blocked. Exactly like yours.
I also tried so many settings, but it seems like a bug tot me. Hopefully they will fix this. Are there more people with this problem?

Hi,

I tried a different APN setting (a profile from my provider) and now its working again!

I experienced the same problem. When the network 4G gets blocked I change the prefered network setting to 3G and the problem is solved. This only happens when the 4G signal is to weak.

I'll give the 3g trick ago I do have a weak 4g signal at home so kinda makes sense.
I think my last resort will to flash it with miui10

Just an update tried a different SIM card from different network and it worked fine 4g data and voice calls.
Makes me think it's definitely something to do with my APN settings
