I bought the Mi Mix 4 hoping to watch videos without a notch. However, it didn't turn out as I expected. When I opened a video and tapped full screen, the black border of the hidden notch area appeared. The phone applied a notch border to the video as if it were a notch.
When I had a notched phone, I was able to watch full-screen videos with the Samsung browser, keeping the notch inside. Because I could adjust the notch settings there, I couldn't find any other settings on the Mix 4.I also have the Mi 12s Ultra. Thanks to the Samsung browser, I can watch online videos in full screen by retracting the notch. All four sides are filled, leaving no empty space. I looked in the developer options on the Mi Mix 4 and there's an option called "simulate screen cropping." It works with one of the options there, but it opens and closes completely from left and right, but the top and bottom remain 16:9, so that's not a solution for me. Also, when the phone restarts, it returns to the default setting.Is there a solution to this problem?
