MIUI 12 - use volume buttons while locked to change songs

I've tried MIUI 10 and 11 in the past but there has always been some sort of dealbreaker for me which forced me to use a custom ROM, but after some testing, MIUI 12 looks like something I can use as a daily driver. All the things I want are there, except for one - the feature described in the title.
Is there a way to get that feature on MIUI 12?

We don't have such feature. Maybe someone on XDA has a mod you can use meanwhile...
