Fastboot Flashing Super.img Extremely Slow on Mac M1 (Takes Hours)

Hello everyone,

I’m trying to flash the latest Xiaomi.eu ROM on my device using a MacBook M1 with an original Apple Type-C to Type-C cable. Normally the flashing process is very fast, but sometimes it becomes extremely slow — especially when flashing the super.img parts (super.1, super.2, etc.). for hours without completing.
My setup:
macOS (latest version)
Official Apple USB-C cable
Latest platform-tools
Device detected normally in fastboot mode
The process seems stuck.

If I disconnect and reconnect the cable while flashing, will it cause any problem such as bootloop or bricking the device?

Thanks in advance!

It's unlikely to brick the device if interrupting the USB connection during super.img flashing specifically, but obviously you won't be able to boot until you flash it properly.
As for your issue ("sometimes it becomes extremely slow"), most likely a USB issue, I doubt anyone can answer that for sure.
