Cannot Unlock Bootloader. Mi Unlock Couldn't Get Info [501:unknown Error]

Hello.

I bought a Redmi 3 Pro few days ago, but it was loaded with vendor bloatware. So I applied for an unlock and I was granted the permission this morning. However the Mi Unlock tool is giving me the following error when it is checking for permission

" Couldn't get info [501:Unknown error] "

I have find device activated and on the Mi Cloud page i was able to locate my device. Also this is my only registered device.

Could someone kindly provide a solution for this?

Try using miflash to load the China developer fastboot ROM first.
