Battery percentage not showing even when set in System UI tuner !?!?

I have held the cog for 5 seconds and the System UI Tuner is now an option for me, but when I set the battery to show percentage it will not show percentage.....I have the latest August update and still, it does not work.

As a workaround, I have removed the battery Icon using System UI Tuner and installed a battery app which shows battery percentage up in the notification area.

For me it worked by activating within System UI Tuner.
However, the percentage only appears when you scroll the bar down.
In the main screen only the battery icon appears, but when scrolling the bar the percentage is displayed.
