Alternative Roms?

Assuming one gets their bootloader unlocked - are there alternative ROMS that one can install on the Redmi Note 3? I am a big Cyangenmod fan but am open to other Android flavors (like Paranoid Android).

I am not keen on the Xiaomi version of Android that ships with the device.

Lots of issues when compared to my experience with other flavors of Android.

There are some ported roms, one or two were based on CM12.1, you can find them on http://en.miui.com/forum-86-1.html.
