Damn thought I had cracked it. Got to verify window and entered code in blue box several times and got new window and code text! Entered code and got through to unlock screen. Connected phone and it showed and clicked unlock and it started counting percentage up to 99%. Imagine my excitement...

Funny thing. I have put new sim in, but have wiped data and created new mi account with new number. When I tried on other phone with old sim in, I got the validation text. Will try again
