Maybe I'm mistaken, I recall reading something like this in a Xiaomi announcement when I was searching. All I know is the one from the official site gives an error, and when you try to update it from the app it sends you to a dead link. Once I updated to version 7 it worked without any issues.

That's not the latest version. You need version 7. It doesn't work with version 6 from the official website. Kinda weird to be sharing incorrect information like it's fact.

That's true but for whatever reason the Turbo 3 is an exception. There are some guides and videos about it if you search around (mostly in Vietnamese).

I got the Turbo 3 from China. Bootloader can be unlocked for free with the right tools, at least for now. I didn't try official unlock method with community app, but maybe that works too. This phone is on another level for the price, feels like a flagship. Much better value than Note 12 Turbo...
