My proximity sensor stopped working after updating to miui12, but has magically recovered after a few weeks. Overall, miui12 "stable" is very buggy, I will be going back to 11 or even 10.

I don't think you can, it's a system app. I don't have any boot issues, but I froze it, not deleted...

This is a fresh install of 12.0.1.0 after factory resetting via twrp of 12.0.1.0. I have read that sensors and/or camera might stop working if I wipe the persist partition, but I havent done that. It's also only the proximity sensor, the rest of them is working.
