Installing Micro Sd Card

Hi all, Sorry for the very very basic question . . . i'm sure there is an easy answer . . . but . . . I have just received my Mi Redmi 3 pro. My microSD card does not fit into the slots in any way? I have google'd and searched for whether there are smaller size SD cards but it seems not...
