    MIUI 12.5 21.1.27/28

Still the issue with /data/extm? No I don't think so - I have never rooted my phone! Have you checked out /system/init.miui.rc ?

    MIUI 12.5 21.1.27/28

May I ask if it happened after activating "second space"? Because that happened to me running MIUI 11 after activating that feature and I still wonder if it's coincident... Unfortunately you have to delete the folder /data/extm every time before doing the backup :( EDIT: Answered while typing...

    MIUI 12.5 21.1.27/28

I've to admit - noooo idea! As I said it came up with activating second space. But it even after deactivation of second space the folder always was created again with one file after reboot. Had to live with it since march last year and it finally disappeared after the upgrade to Android 11. I...

    MIUI 12.5 21.1.27/28

I know this problem! Had this with miui11, after activating "second space". I think /data/extm is somehow "double encrypted" and therefore unreadable for TAR. Solution was to delete the /data/extm folder with TWRP file manager (or terminal) each time BEFORE doing the backup. After that the...

    MIUI 12.5 21.1.27/28

It's always the same since changing from Android 10 to 11 and it only depends on what apps you have installed and your individual behavior with the phone.

    Issue

I'm quite sure your problem will be solved with another TWRP: Download and install twrp-3.5.A9-ginkgo-geoanto555.img from https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=318227

My block is overcrowded with Wifi Routers so maybe we have just too much overlay in the area.

Thanks for the hint! Bootanimations are boring and overrated anyways - so I got the nice floating "android" now. I like more Jackie Chan style - just sayin'

    MIUI 12.5 21.1.20/21

RN8 Gingko, no root, dirty flashed with geoanto555's TWRP, no extra wiping (I think it's anyways done by the installation script...?). The boot animation makes a sound which I think is annoying. Can we get rid of that without flashing another one? Yes, deleted in TWRP... First screenshot...

    MIUI 12.5 21.1.13/14

redmi note 8 gingko Hi there, anyone any idea about [...]HMNote8_20.1.16[...] I mean SIXTEEN. I accidentally stumbled about in androidfilehost - I hate them, it's impossible to find any real informations about any files posted there. Does this actually belong to xiaomi.EU and if, is it an update...

    MIUI 12.5 21.1.6/7

redmi note 8 gingko I also disagree with you in some points. You can't expect the first release of a master OS upgrade to run as expected. You think it's Xiaomi mess? Yea, maybe it is, but use Samsung or Motorola devices then. its boring and always perfect and totally jailed then. Have fun...
