If Xiaomi doesn't release the kernel source then it's safe to say that the annoying screen blank/freeze issue will be with this ROM also. A driver someplace is not correct for this model phone.

Yeah, this is indeed a major bug. Also I've noticed that holding the power button will eventually wake the display and then power off the device when this happens.

Ugh so aggravating this locks up my device just like the 4.3 roms do. Kitkat is really nice, in fact so nice that I may consider buying a Nexus 5.

Well, it froze up once so far just like the other builds have, I guess this eliminates my gapps theory.

Running great so far, I didn't flash gapps since I want to see if it will run like it should without locking up, gonna give it a few days before flashing it.
