    You don't need TWRP for the ROM to function properly. It doesn't cause any problems. It may be a slight inconvenience for you as you will have to have a computer near you to perform an update via Fastboot.

    Just flashed it and everything works like it should. Also the performance of the Control Center is the same as with the white tint so I guess you were right.

    What software do you use to look through the ROM? I would like to help you with finding a solution to the lock animation problem.

    So you pretty much have to keep track for specific changes to all devices before patching ROMs.

    Sorry no idea. Did you restore from backup or install apps and settings one by one? If yes that might have to do something with it

    I was able to get a response from Xiaomi regarding the white tint and they said that it's to make the device perform better so it's probably something that is hard-coded.

    Looks like it isn't installed. I've installed it now I will reboot. After reboot Mi Smart Hub works again. Thanks. And did you manage to find a solution for the lock animation yet by any chance?
