It only works if your provider activates it!Not every provider activates this option by default!

As I already said,you MUST select MTP enabled in TWRP under MOUNT,and select all partitions EXCEPT usb and SD and DO NOT select READ-ONLY!!! Otherwise you CAN'T find your phone on pc!!! Both should be selected! Sent from my MIX 2 using Tapatalk

OEM unlocked in developer options? Can you reach TWRP through holding power button & volume up together when power off.(release power button,but hold volume up when you see MI logo!) In TWRP can you install a rom?(connect your MI phone on the computer and copy paste the ZIP ROM on your phone...
