Same problem here, it's not caused by this rom only. My bypass was using a otg mouse.

Why is the Mi Note 3 version always one number ahead? 8.3.30 instead of 8.3.29 and 8.3.23 instead of 8.3.22.

That never worked for me, compass would always still point in the wrong direction with Global ROM. After flashing xiaomi.eu ROM... compass problem solved, though I don't find the GPS very accurate.
