I was having this issue in the previous builds while using IDM and pia VPN. It seems now it is finally solved after I wiped cache.

I've wiped cache and now it seems to be working flawlessly. Can anyone who had the same problem earlier confirm it is working for you as well?

Bug in notification panel still persists, where you have to wait 5/8 seconds to scroll it down, because of lagging, while using any app which actively downloads or uploads in the background. Mi Max 2

Thanks for sharing a similar experience, you're the third I've seen in this forum doing it. I think the problem is Rom related. I don't use the apps you mentioned, but I face the same issue with every app I use to download/upload long files. Like you said, everything else works fine.

I won't post it, because it wouldn't be useful. The thing is: after a while using VPN or apps like IDM, the notification panel gets laggy. It takes about 3-5 seconds to scroll it. It happens the same with recent apps/menu panel. Depending on how much time VPN/IDM is active, the error message...

Wow, shout out to the developers who do all this work for free, and still have to read lots of complaints. 16 pages with 95% containing download speed or server. Yikes! Anyway, bug in the notification panel persists while using VPN on background. Mi Max 2.

Yeah, and I take back what I said about wiping the cache. It only delayed the bug, which still persists.

There's still a bug in notification panel when using apps in the background like VPN. After some time, I can't swipe it down or open the recent apps panel, then system UI crashes. Unfortunately, nobody cares about it lol. Mi Max 2

Anyone having trouble while using VPN or any app working actively on background? System becomes really slow, the the error message "System UI is not working" shows.
