I think you probably has a NTFS format in your SD Card. NTFS is actually Microsoft propietary. In fact, there is a NTFS/ExFAT app at Google Play Store to allow you to access to your data if SD Card is in this format.

What is the SD Card format?. FAT32, NTFS, eXFAT?. I recommend to you save your data in PC. Format SD in Android Explorer and copy data again to your SD. ExFAT it's better option actually.

Try to delete all data & caché in both apps. Reboot and then reinstall both apps. Normally that works.

That happened to me in V1 version. It's only what can i say. Take a look at battery consumption (apps or services draining your battery). In V1 others had a Big % consumption.
