Hi Everyone :) Has anyone in this forum flashed this release on Galaxy Note N7000 and care to share their experiences? I'm still on 3.5.3 and most things on my phone is working really well so I'm trying to stay clear of buggy releases :-P

Get MiuiSpnConfig.apk from the MI market. That worked really well for me!

It could be a different problem you're having. The app BetterBatteryStats helped me a lot with this. In my case the mediascanner service was running for 2 hours after boot and drained my battery so hard that the back of the phone felt warm. After deleting cache files manually it now runs for...

I had battery problems too with this release and found out that the mediascanner service on this release is ticklish when it comes to many small files. It will calm down if you delete cache files. Check my previous posts about it in this thread for a better explanation. Sent from my GT-N7000...

So after some poking around this seems to be a problem with apps not cleaning up after themselves, and not so much a problem with with the rom/mediaserver/mediascanner. Seems like some apps use their own installation directory to cache (why!?). In an adb shell I did a "find / > inventory.txt"...

The MediaScannerService is what seems to bleed out my battery. I installed SGS Toolbox because it has a "delete corrupt images" feature and I formatted the SD card. Will let you know if any of that worked. Last resort is "rescan media root" from Google play market which works but is a...

Just to let you know, the battery drain issue is also present on GT-N7000 for this release. It discharges unreasonably fast. Have installed BetterBatteryStats again to see what's going on..
