Yeah.. This works but it's not true that gestures don't work with third party launchers. I've always used third party launchers and never had any issues. It's just that they're not working on this week's build. Hopefully they'll get it fixed by next week as I don't really like the default system...

If you're going from stable to weekly you're OK with dirty flash. I only format every 6 months or so just for my peace of mind. But personally I only had to wipe once in the last years and that was because of encryption. I'd say you're OK with dirty flashing always if you're already on xiaomi.eu...
