    Possible To Install Without Pc

English gents, English. You need a PC to install the EU-rom the first time. The PC is necessary to unlock the boot loader and install TWRP. When this is done you don't need a PC to update. You just download newer ROMs to the phone memory and flash through TWRP on the phone.

Stable Version Of Miui 8 For Max Pro 128gb, Helium, Working Great!

Just installed the latest stable 8.1.5.0 for the Max Pro/Prime. Dirty flash as usual, only whiped Dalvik/cache, so far so good. This is the changelog (I can't find it anywhere else, so I post it here)

Stable Version Of Miui 8 For Max Pro 128gb, Helium, Working Great!

Small update; Installed 8.1.4 stable, dirty install, so far everything seems to work fine. No noticeable difference, and according to the change log there is nothing new that will apply to my use. Nice to have, but as far as I can see there is no need to update from 8.1.3

Stable Version Of Miui 8 For Max Pro 128gb, Helium, Working Great!

No, it is locked. You can install official ROM without unlocking, but you need to unlock before installing TWRP and EU-ROM.

Stable Version Of Miui 8 For Max Pro 128gb, Helium, Working Great!

My phone is from GearBest, it had a vendor ROM that I removed immediately. You have to install an official ROM, or the EU-ROM manually on the phone if you want the latest MIUI

    MULTI 6.12.1

This is the reason I think you have to do it the way I described on last page. I think you have to install an official Chinese ROM, log on to your xiaomi acount with this, and then try to unlock the ROM again. You get to EDL from Fast Boot with the app I linked to.

    MULTI 6.12.1

I've had the same problem with a Note 3 Pro, which is basically similar in hardware to the Mi Max. The solution for me was to install TWRP again in fast boot. If the phone is locked, you can get to EDL from Fast Boot using this method: http://en.miui.com/thread-290959-1-1.html Then install...

How To Downgrade From Xiaomi.eu Weekly Beta To Stable

I think it is too much hassle to flash from weekly to stable without wiping. Chances are you will end up with wiping or restoring the phone anyway. I would recommend backup of settings and apps in settings - additional settings - backup. Copy the backup folder ( internal storage\MIUI\Backup\...

    No Recovery Mi Max 32gb

Yes, that i exactly what happens on Redmi Note 3 Pro which has similar hardware to this. You have to unlock the phone once again and install TWRP before installing the EU-rom.

Stable Version Of Miui 8 For Max Pro 128gb, Helium, Working Great!

Yesterday dirty flashed 8.1.3.0, it is still working smooth as silk. I don't think I have ever had a smartphone as stable as the Max, funny enough it is the cheapest phone I ever had! This was a ridiculous good buy and it is only getting better.

That is not a Bug, the wire in the headphones are used as antenna. Without it the FM Radio will not work. Edit: OK, maybe I misunderstood. You should of course be able to choose loudspeaker as long as the headphones are connected :)

Stable Version Of Miui 8 For Max Pro 128gb, Helium, Working Great!

Strange problem! Maybe try another keyboard? I'm using Swiftkey and have no problems with the phone connected to Bluetooth. The phone is connected to my android wear watch 24/7, and in addition to this with a speaker or car much of the time. No problems at all.

Mi Max Pro(helium) Quick Charge Capability

My only suggestion is to try with another cable. Even with QC3.0 this battery takes a while to charge, but it is clearly faster with QC3.0 chargers on my phone compared to the original charger.

[solved] From Xiaomi.eu Rom To Official Global Stable Rom

Yes, correct. I'm not sure, but you probably have to do this every time it is updated OTA as well. So if the point is to go official only to have OTA updates, but keep TWRP, then it may not be worth the hassle.

[solved] From Xiaomi.eu Rom To Official Global Stable Rom

Yes, with the original ROM installed it will restore the recovery to Mi Recovery every time you reboot.

[solved] From Xiaomi.eu Rom To Official Global Stable Rom

I think I misunderstood the original question. - "Anyone can confirm if TWRP can be reflashed on top of official MIUI?" That's what you always do before for instance installing the EU ROM. So yes, this can be done. BUT, it will only stay there till you boot the official MIUI again. Then it will...

[solved] From Xiaomi.eu Rom To Official Global Stable Rom

As far as I know it is not possible without modifying parts, the official ROM will replace TWRP on the first boot. The benefits of the EU ROM is to great for me to ever consider going back to official ROM.

Stable Version Of Miui 8 For Max Pro 128gb, Helium, Working Great!

I upgraded to the latest stable V8.1.1.0, and so far everything is good. Not the biggest upgrade, but som changed functions in the pull down menu that are welcome. Also Gmail seems to sync better and faster than with V8.0.3.0 Dirty flash, only deleted Dalvik/cache. Did not loose anything and...
