So far the best roms i've used on kenzo were 6.9.9 and 6.10.13 and I am now using the 10.13 rom. Both are without bugs with great battery life (around 10-11 h of SOT, depending on usage)

If you are using a third party launcher (action laumcher, go launcher, niva launcher,...) try using miui launcher

Try enabling pop up

I think you can't flash official rom with twrp, try using miflash.

You need to sign into your device and miflash unlock tool with the same account. You need to enable both USB debugging and OEM unlock under developer options. Phone needs to be in fastboot mode if I remember correctly. Did you install the latest drivers on the PC?
