If they would change the launcher it wont be MIUI anymore... if you really want "old" launcher just use go launcher, you can have folders and themes just like miui but theres an app drawer..

It is because your miui version is too old and not support the new lockscreen layout.. only the first lockscreens that had bug with the wallpaper will work for you.. just update to the newset build (no data wiping is needed) and every thing will be resolved

My milestone booted just fine after installing the english pack.. did you install the deodexed miui either? if you did so it might be that something went wrong with that new auto english that mark has bulit.. wait for his comment about it

impossible, this is a MDPI device and without source code (miui is closed source) it will be impossible, there was a try to port it to HTC Legened, but they retired since they said they can't get it to boot.. (I had also seen a port for X10 mini or X8 but it is just booting and nothing else...
