I just downgraded to 8.1.2 Global from 8.2.1 EU Stable. Accuracy and time to fix are about the same as you show, way better than with Nougat

I tested wi-fi hotspot with mi old Mi Note Pro, with same dev ROM, and it works fine... EDITED: Wi-fi hotspot started to work when I removed the secondary SIM from my Mi5. Strange and annoying.

Updated from 8.1.6.0 via updater app, without any wipe. Works fine, it feels faster than the old one.

Locks the bootloader, doesn't wipe sdcard unless you want to, the battery problem is solved.
