Nothing useful in this update again... Will skip it like last week...

Will pass on this weeks update. Changelog doesn't seem to be worth the time.

Everything seems works fine for me on Redmi Note 2 / Hermes. Yet still trying to find any "actual" improvements compared to MIUI7. A different look isn't an improvement.

How do you define "double performance" compared to RN2? Like having 16 instead of 8 Cores? Or doubled frequency? I'd really like to know because what I see when I compare the specifications makes the RN3Pro look really bad (measured to what a Phone requires to my individual needs)

Don't be like that. You just bought the wrong phone from the right Manufacturer. Before I bought my RedMi Note 2 I compared it to the newer RedMi Note 3 and, hell yeah, I found the RedMi Note 3 a dirty joke compared to my beloved RedMi Note 2 Prime.

I have now successfully updated to 6.4.28, but am currently quite sad about having to unfreeze Cloud Print. As someone stated before making the System dependand on this bloat ware App has to be considered a bug or a mistake. I really hope you Devs can 'fix' that soon. ;)

Thank you very much for pointing me at the discussion about that in the previous Thread as I had skipped last weeks Update in the first place. Thats exactly my issue, but I will not unfreeze Cloud Printing as I prefer to stick to my zero tolerance policy against all that Cloud-BS. I don't know...

After further investigation I can definitely say that 6.4.28 and 6.4.21 are causing MIUIs Settings Menu to crash when tapping on "Advanced Settings" (tested on Hermes). I tested this by updating from 6.4.14 to each of them separately. (.14 to .28, rollback to .14, from .14 to .21) Each time...

Just use an App like Link2SD or System App Remover (<- recommended). Just make sure you download the current PlayStore-APK and you have a way to move and install it to your Device and have enabled to allow installing Apps from outside the Store in your android settings.

In that case I'd delete Google Play entirely from my device, download the current APK of it and install it fresh. If your Device is rooted, of course... //Edit: Unable to enter the Advanced Settings after applying this update. It simply throws me back to Home Screen. Rolling back now. Bad...

Nope, as I do not have a MiPad 2. I'm on Hermes, which means I own a RedMi Note 2. :)

I compared the MD5-Hash of my downloaded file with the one shown on the androidfilehost-Mirror for Hermes. As it matched I'm currently updating. Yet I'd love to know why the Zip Verification failed.

I never said "all is fine", and as I said earlier, a Signature Verification exists for a good reason.

You really need to read properly. I already said I downloaded it multiple times from both mirrors by multiple ways and download managers. It's not something caused while downloading.

But is this still a safe and good idea? The Signature Check sure is there for a reason and I don't want anything to go bad just because some Bits went wrong.

My RedMi Note 2/TWRP keeps telling me that the Zip signature verification failed. Please check the Upload for Hermes. I already downloaded the Update three times by now and moved the File by different ways to the Device Storage so the Problem is definitely with the uploaded corrupted file.

Downloaded the Update for Hermes one time from each mirror and am keeping signature errors by TWRP. Needs a Check.
