I flashed the TWRP .img. When booting the phone into recovery mode via CMD: fastboot boot recovery.img I get the TWRP in Chinese. What have I done wrong?

Hi Pertti I tried also the option to copy it to the internal memory. It does not make a difference. Both ROMs are from xiaomi.eu

I am trying to update the stable ROM MIUI 7.1.3.0 on my Redmi 3. I have downloaded the latest ROM, 8.0.1.0 transferred it to the SD card of the phone and started the update process. At the bottom of the screen pops up the message "Getting info" for a few seconds and then the screens switches...

How stupid. I only had to enter the password for my Mi Account. Then it was all back and running.

Hi Bryan I upgraded the stable EU ROM 7.1.6.0 to 7.2.3.0 Now I get "This device is lost".... and I don't have an activation code. I went into TWRP, but the commands don't work. Any solution?

My phone came with the same ROM you have (ordered in China). I tried similar steps you took to get googl.apk and other stuff. But the Chinese stuff kept coming up. At that point I realized I had to flash the ROM. I am not sure that you locked your bootloader.
