Updater is just a way to download the complete ROM without you checking yourself if it's the correct one and triggering the TWRP update after the download. So just a way to make updating easier. No difference in bits or bytes Sent from my Redmi 3S (land)

That you need to read the forum better before asking questions. In short: there are too much devices to maintain a eu ROM for. Because tablets do not get updates that often eu decided to stop creating ROMs for them. Only miui will provide ROMs for them from now on Sent from my Redmi 3S (land)
