You can only select a launcher while it resides in /data/app. So the procedure to use a third-party launcher with working widgets is: Download & Install Launcher --> Select Launcher in Settings - Display - Preferred Launcher --> Convert Launcher to System App --> Reboot (for good measure)...

@RocknRolla - System performance is fine on my i9300, some transition effects are known to be laggy in the launcher (3D cube is unaffected, try this and see if there is any difference, if not you may need a wipe) @Roy.alty - This is a new bug introduced with the new settings in Settings > Buttons.

Which recovery are you using? I used to get these errors from time to time, was fixed in a recovery update (currently using TWRP 2.5.0.0). Either try a different recovery or remove the assert script from the updater-script in the zip file manually.

Have you checked your APN settings? Works fine for me on official miui.com build

If mmissing or incorrect icons in settings is the only bug you can find I'd say its not defective at all! Also, this weeks release should be much more stable (still have the icon bug though)

Those links are for files hosted at MiuiAndroid.com, can you provide the Xiaomi (official) link? Theres no announcement on the miui forum, or links to 3.4.5 unless you're in the beta team (which I am).

Try Settings > Status Bar > Enable 'Show Flow Details'. This should give you a bar on the bottom of your notification drawer with your daily data usage. I don't know how to enable a daily limit in the monitor, but this should be better than nothing!
